REPORT ON THE ACTIVITIES OF ART CLUB

The Jephthah Art Club was born out of a vision to empower all the creative minded people in the School as well as to help those with hidden creative talents discover themselves.

As at the 5th of March, 2007 the Club boasted of having over 40 students as registered members who are also participating actively.

The club has actively participated in various competitions outside the School and to God’s glory has emerged tops in all. This includes among others: State Secondary School Arts and Craft competition.
Also, the club has hosted various exhibitions within the school which has earned one of the participating students a scholarship – Enujuba Ebuka SS2B and Aliyu David SS2A.

The Club is manned by two teachers Mrs Ndukwe Josphine and Mrs Umoh E.U. and a team of hardworking executives.

The Club has many art works in its port folio and the project we are undertaking now is “Bead Making”. This has been yielding good results since the inception of the project. Some students are also receiving carrying out further practice in painting using poster, colour, water colour, pastel and acrylic with Miss Newking Patience as their guide.

Finally, I would like to say that everyone on earth is given a creative mandate by the heavenly King and Creator of the universe.
